CITES Information

Summary of CITES details: (please contact us for specific requirements and details that must be noted on your CITES permit before you make application. The US Fish and Wildlife Service has very specific requirements for these permits)

1.    A CITES import permit (from your country) must be issued before we can make an application for a CITES export permit. You must contact us for a falcon identification band number before you can request an import permit. It is very important that the language on your CITES import permit is exact. Please contact us for help with this language.

2.    After we receive the CITES import permit it takes about 60 days for the US Fish and Wildlife to issue a CITES export permit.

3.    After we receive the export permit the falcons are flown to Denver Colorado, USA. They are inspected at the Denver International airport then shipped to the destination in a medium animal carrier with a perch so they do not damage feathers. We ship them with the hood on. Please tell us if you want the bird manned to the hood 3 weeks prior to shipping.
